More Christmas Tears

"I can't see"... Although that is not why she is crying. She had a horrible Christmas day as she was crying and cranky for most of it.

A Cranky Christmas Day

Natalia wearing her nightgown Grandma sent for Christmas and as you see Buster investigating what the baby is doing. We haven't been taking to many pictures as she has a rash on her face.

Auntie Ruthie with Natalia

So I made sure to get pictures of Ruth holding the baby before she went. The first picture is the baby we hoped for the happy smiley one, although it appears that most of the time she has a poopy face like the second picture.

Santa visiting our Apartment Complex. Natalia 3 weeks old

If only the dogs where as cooperative as Natalia
Santa was suppose to be at our Apartment clubhouse with Mrs. Clause and Elves for pictures, stories, crafts and food. So, we just decided to go straight to the clubhouse and get the family pictures first (which I will scan in and add to the blog) and then David went home to get the dogs outfits and the dogs to get them their holiday pictures with Santa. Unfortunetely with all the distractions and the costumes the dogs forgot all of the manners and it was a difficult time taking pictures of them although it was fun for us and them, they got alot of attention that they love and we got to do our Christmas pictures a little different this year. So of course there was no food there or left one or the other, so we ended up leaving at around 9pm and just ordering to go food to end a busy day.

Our First Portrait Studio pictures

This was a super busy day for us. It started out with me deciding to go get a quick haircut, just a trim I figured wouldn't take too long. My appointment was at 930 and was just around the corner from our house, and then we had a schedued sitting time to do our holiday pictures at 1150. Well, of course it wasn't fast I got home at 1100 and threw on some clothes and got ready really quick while David was packing up the baby and we raced out the door. I repeatedly asked David if he knew where to go and he assumed me that he knew where to go. Not surprising that 1150 came and past and we were not at the studio. In a long complicated effort we got the phone number and called and found out that the studio was not anywhere near us (Go David!!!) although they said we could still come and fit us in. So we ended up going athough, we payed for it in the quality of pictures as we didn't have any time to fix things and get into position and there was a limited amount of pictures they took all and all we got it finished and the Christmas cards had been waiting weeks for these pictures so we could send them out.
So we got our pictures and the next thing we know is it is already about 4pm and we still have to go buy a dessert for the Mason Christmas party we were going to at 6 (Ohh, so David is officially doing the Mason thing). So we stop buy Costco on the way home and pick up and Pumpkin cheesecake and a snack because neither of us have eaten all day. The snack is turkey rolls and it was so bad that we couldn't even eat them when we were really hungry and of course we couldn't just dig into the cheesecake.
We get to the house and David's mom and sister aren't ready yet and we had a little time, so I decided to get the Christmas cards out in the little time I had waiting. (Which I apologize for not writing in much, I had a good 30 cards that needed to go out and I just wanted to get them out so they would get there before Christmas). Pictures were cut, written on and put in the card and placed in the envelops that were made weeks in advance. We then left the house a little early to make it to the post office for the last pick-up of the night and headed to the Mason Lodge.
Going to the Mason Lodge was quite akward. As we knew we weren't going to stay long since we had been out all day and still had to go get pictures with Santa. There was tons of food and snacks and I decided not to eat as I didn't want them to think we were just coming to eat and leaving right afterwards (and we were told that food was being served at the complex where Santa was). So after all the introductions and meeting lots of people and being invited to join basically the wive's club of the Mason's we were off coming back home by 630.

Buster Butting In

Buster is so funny, at first the dogs were unsure of the baby and wanted to smell her and typical dog stuff. But by the first or second week when we felt comfortable with the dogs around the baby, we realized Buster needs to attend to the baby too. When Natalia cries he is the first one there waiting to see what is wrong and making sure she is ok. We think he is trying to butter her up so when she is old enough she will want him to sleep in her bed, he already wants to lay down next to her.

Natalia's favorite place to be

David circling the house trying to calm the baby. We had a such a great baby until she turned 2 Weeks and that is when the crying has begun. She has had at least 2 episodes a day of screaming for no apparent reason for a good 10-15 minutes, and of course it usually happens in the middle of the night so her voice echos throughout the entire city.

Our day at Sea World San Antonio

It started out to be a rough day. I asked everyone to bring Natalia's pacifer which was on the counter and of course everyone forgot. We got to the park just in time for her to wake up and start screaming. David went to see if any of the stores sold pacifiers before I went in because she had been very dependent on her pacifer up until that point. Of course none of the stores sold any and so I figured I would feed her and hope for the best. Once she got in her carrier I had to force her awake to eat hours, all she did was sleep the whole day. We started at the Kalidsdales in the front of the park and made our way through the whole park and even watched most of the shows.
The picture of her with a bottle was my attempt to feed her although she didn't want anything else but to sleep.
The picture with me pulling down the shoulder bar is a demo seat outside one of the rollercoasters. We can say she already sat on her first roller coaster ride.

Natalia Loves Her Swing

Natalia In a Flower Dress

I couldn't resist putting her in her first dress, after a long day at the hospital.

Natalia's After-Bath Robe

She sure has some growing to do to fit into this robe.

Getting Ready For Her First Bath at Home

While she didn't want to sleep most of the night and I was nervous about bringing her into the hospital in just a few hours. I decided to give Natalia her first bath at home since I missed her bath at the hospital.

Our Little Texas Patriot

The hospital called at 8pm on the 2nd of December asking us to bring the baby in the hospital, they felt that she needed to be admitted to be on the safe side. Well, this picture was taken at 1 am on the 3rd; obviously I still was confident that Natalia had no reason to be admitted and refused to bring her in. The next morning we took her in just for the doctor to do another check up on her and a urine test to make sure there was no indication of an infection.

Mommy & Me Time

Grandma & Grandpa sent flowers

We got the first flowers on the 2nd the day after we got home from the hospital, although they sent the wrong arrangement and it should have been the pink piggy so we recieved the pig on Natalia's original due date 7Dec.

Welcome Home Natalia!

Going into our Apartment Complex, a warm welcome to the newest of residents.

Finally Going Home!

They couldn't find any reason to keep her and at almost 5Pm Natalia was on her way home from Wilford Hall

Cutie on Duty, Her Tactical Camouflage

Preparing the baby for going home. The pediatricians decided they did not want to discharge the baby. Needless to say, I wasn't going home without my baby, especially since there was nothing wrong with her. Our morning discharge turned into a all day affair, with another full head to toe exam and a head ultrasound.

She's So Cute!

This is the big day of discharge. We were suppose to discharge yesterday November 30th although they wanted to do extra tests on the baby.
